TOUR: 2020 WINTER NEW HORIZONS ENSEMBLE TOUR
Sellouts and Enthusiastic Audiences from Saint Louis to Texas:
Our 3,000 mile journey started in Saint Louis at a beautiful at church rehearsal space provided by Pastor Randy at Chesterfield Community Church. I love performing with every single person in this ensemble and feel incredibly blessed to have their support in bringing this music to live audiences.
We spent 3 days solid rehearsing new material for an upcoming album Aerial Views and dusting off our standards from Open Waters and Eagle Mountain release. Lola & Michael also did a beautiful rendition of a Joanie Mitchel tune.
Our first concert was in Saint Louis at Sky Music Hall. We opened to a capacity audience with Bach To The Future as the opener act. Much fun as I pulled Tracy Silverman (violin, Turtle Island Quartet) from Bach To The Future and featured him on some of my tunes. We ended the evening with a group jam on Chick Corea’s 500 Miles High.
Next Stop Goddard Center in Oklahoma. We had two days of workshops and a concert with a full house and a wide ranging audience diversity. It was a beautiful and intimate 500 seat theater with excellent tech support and lighting. We sold a lot of merchandise and met some amazing people.
Two house concerts followed in Austin, Texas and Springfield, MO with Michael and myself performing solo and duet. These were a lot of fun and we met some amazing people who were excellent hosts and listeners. Lola did a very cool church type concert in Texas. She puts on a great live solo/duo concert and whoever saw this was in for a special treat.
We ended at the Eisemann Center For Performing Arts just outside Dallas Proper. An amazingly beautiful multi complex theater. Wood paneling everywhere with a state of the art facility. We did a workshop followed by a concert the next day. The audiences were enthusiastic and complementary stating they had never been so engaged. Agin we had a diverse demographic from 20-80.
